Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42129 (project octave):

Three of the attachments update previously submitted functions.  I have
converted them to use name-value pairs for optional arguments instead of
positional arguments.  This is consistent with the latest release of the
identically named functions in the latest MATLAB statistics toolkit.  The
vartest2.m function is a new submission.
