Follow-up Comment #44, bug #37554 (project octave):

The latest version of this patch works for
me and provides separate asserts for each test
so in case of a failure it will be clear what
failed. 

It would be good, I think to push this since
the current tests fail on my Fedora 20 system
and apparently on others.

The patch is in (file #31458)
