Follow-up Comment #2:
This sounds like a packaging problem to me, not an Octave bug. The OP says the
GUI can be run, just that there's no launcher installed (at least that's the
way it reads to me). Is there anything Octave can do in "make install" to set
up a Mac OS launcher? Tentatively closing because this sounds out of scope for
Octave, it's up to the ports or installer maintainer.
