Follow-up Comment #8, bug #43551 (project octave):

Or, to quote Abramowitz and Stegun:

Gamma(z) is single valued and analytic over the entire
complex plane, save for the points z = -n (n+0, 1, 2,...)
where it possesses simple poles with residue (-1)^n/n!.

As said before, Inf will do.
