Details:

I`m debugging a port from qtfm (matlab classref style) to octave.
Some test steps require quite some runtime.
When I hit the continue aka dbstep button, before the running step has
finished, the debugger stops with the message:

debug> error: dbstep: can only be called in debug mode

Posible solutions I suggest:
- queue click events
- replace error by simple warning (so we can continue debugging)
- ignore clicks while code is running

octave Build:
4.1.0+ from hg repo
default branch
checkout 2014-12-13
