Details:

Ghostscript added a new device eps2write in 2014 which produces better results
than the existing epswrite device.  At the time of this writing (Jan. 2015)
many installations do not yet have a version of Ghostscript that supports this
device.  However, at some point in the future it would be useful to change
over the default eps device in __print_plot_opts__.m to eps2write rather than
epswrite.
