Follow-up Comment #5, bug #44118 (project octave): I am sorry to correct myself: But even though the resulting jpg files with the suggested workaround LOOK fine, they are still WRONG in the sense that the resulting file is a RGB jpg file and not a proper GRAYSCALE jeg file.
