Details:

In Windows 7, using Octave 3.8.2, when I use the print command to print to a
pdf, the resulting pdf file keeps growing until it fills the disk.

Then I installed Ghostscript from here:
http://downloads.ghostscript.com/public/gs915w64.exe
I took the gs binary, renamed it to gs.exe and put this one in place of gs.exe
in the Octave bin folder. This now produces correct pdf output.

The command I use to print a plot to pdf is:
print -dpdf -color "-S400,300" nmd4-pred.pdf
