Update of bug #44224 (project octave):
Severity: 3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
Summary: plot3 does not accept "color", "none" => plot/plot3
do not accept "color", "none"

Follow-up Comment #1:
It's not just plot3, plot also behaves the same way. There's an easy
workaround that I actually think is better. If you don't want to see an
object change the "visible" attribute to "off". That makes it clear that your
intention was not to show the object.
plot3 ([0 1], [2 3], [4 5], 'visible', 'off')
