Follow-up Comment #80, bug #41699 (project octave): I hope I didn't give the impression that building with OpenMP will definitely solve this problem. It might yet be a red herring. All I know is I saw a similar problem on Linux and that was definitely caused by GraphicsMagick being built with OpenMP and Octave not being built with it. But all I've been able to determine about this bug is that it occurs when Octave is trying to clear a persistent variable from the symbol table during its exit procedures.
