Details:

With most recent code, I did a "make maintainer-clean", followed by
"bootstrap", followed by "configure", then "make". About 2/3 through
compilation the following bug appeared:

[up to here was fine]
  LEX parse-tree/lex.cc
  GEN parse-tree/lex.df
lex.ll:102:23: fatal error: oct-parse.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make[2]: *** [parse-tree/lex.df] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/octave/octave/build-3/libinterp'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/octave/octave/build-3'
make: *** [all] Error 2
