Follow-up Comment #7, bug #44330 (project octave):

The new patch works for me and the original bug. But


h = figure; reset( h )


still leads to segfault. Oddly enough in my old build I could do these
commands twice before segfault. But now with the patch it immediately
segfaults.

I'm not sure if its really related but if I play around with uiobjects enough,
sooner or later there seems to be a sync problem with the internal graphics
handles (see #44339 <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?44339> ).
