Follow-up Comment #3:

Ok, I can confirm what you are seeing, although probably not as badly as you
report. I do see it somewhat more sluggishly under Windows but I have to try
hard to resize the figure and get the uipanel to stick to a much smaller size,
more than a few pixels. Recategorizing as a performance bug since it has to do
with the responsiveness of the rendering.
