Update of bug #32049 (project octave):

                  Status:               Postponed => Wont Fix               
             Open/Closed:                    Open => Closed

Follow-up Comment #8:

I'm closing this as won't fix since I don't think this feature is needed any
more. The original problem was due to the way Debian configured the octave
package, but it has been resolved in Debian and users can now install packages
without the need for a new -default option.
