Follow-up Comment #3, bug #44533 (project octave): No packages depend on specfun it according to the Debian package database. Most of the functions it contains are just numerical versions of functions provided by the symbolic toolbox (some not yet provided by the symbolic package). It does contain one function that could be moved to core, the psi function.
