Follow-up Comment #16, bug #44765 (project octave):

I guess pushing the patch depends on whether I have an unusual machine or not.
 If I do, I can work around it by setting the legend color to 'none' and just
living with transparency in the output.  In any case, it seems like maybe this
shouldn't go in right before the 4.0 release unless more testing can determine
why it works some places and not others.
