Follow-up Comment #4, bug #44840 (project octave):

A simpler test is whether glxgears works across the ssh connection.  If that
doesn't work, then I don't see how Octave can use OpenGL across the ssh
connection.  But if it does work, then maybe we can look at glxgears to
determine what needs to be done to also make Octave work.
