Update of bug #45003 (project octave):
Severity: 3 - Normal => 2 - Minor
Priority: 5 - Normal => 3 - Low
Status: None => Confirmed
_______________________________________________________
Follow-up Comment #1:
Confirmed.
Do you work in the Octave GUI, or with the CLI (just a terminal)?
FYI, Windows' cmd32 terminal and Powershell have the same behavior. You do
type your Octave commands in a terminal after all, so in a way Octave's
behavior isn't unexpected.
And, Matlab r2014b behaves identically (which IMO is not to be interpreted as
an endorsement to copy & retain ML behavior everywhere).
But I agree the behavior you desire (like e.g., the GUI editor does) would be
nice for the current line in the terminal (or terminal pane) as well.
Lowering priority & severity
