Follow-up Comment #1:
Can you provide a screen capture of the plot as it appears on your monitor so
I can see what the output is supposed to be?
Second, can you provide the eps files for the 4.0.0rc4 tests?
Third, can you provide the eps for the 6th demo of patch from just one of the
hardware implementations?
Octave is using gl2ps for printing, which in turn uses OpenGL, which in turn
is just an API/library. The implementation of an actual OpenGL function call
could be very different depending on what hardware, or even software if you
are using Mesa, is doing the rendering. Thus, I wouldn't be that surprised if
the number of polygons differ. But if there are actual visual differences
between the on-screen rendering and the "printed" result then that is a
problem that needs exploring.
