Follow-up Comment #7, bug #45091 (project octave):
Hello Marius,
A similar problems has been identified in the octave-stk binary package for
cygwin (see bug #45362) and tracked down to a more fundamental problem in the
pkg function (see bug #45369).
I assume that the binary package for MacPorts is created similarly, by calling
'pkg build'. In this case, the problem is that, after installing the package
with 'pkg install', you end up with two sets of PKG_ADD/PKG_DEL files: one the
arch-independent directory (where they belong) and one in the arch
dependent-directory (where they don't belong).
Until bug #45369 is solved, a simple workaround is to manually deleted the
PKG_ADD/PKG_DEL files that you find at the root of your binary package
tarball.
