Hi,

I would look first in the recent changes I brought in order to have mouse
coordinates displayed in Qt figures
(http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/062422f2e399). 
I did see crashes when moving the mouse over figures during development stages
but it never happened to me after polishing the patch, so I pushed it. 
Unfortunately, I most probably won't be able to work on this during the coming
month.
Marking the bug "confirmed" even though I can't confirm it myself, and
retitling to better describe the bug.
