Follow-up Comment #6, bug #45864 (project octave): @JWE: I tried your patch on Windows and it works fine. It does allow removing autoloaded functions from memory so that the shared .dlls they live in can be overwritten by mkoctfile. BTW it never occurred to me that the persistent file lock on binary modules could be due to an Octave bug (or rather, I figured it was a Windows bug).
