Follow-up Comment #5, bug #45915 (project octave):
Repeating the steps with Excel 2013 instead of LO works fine => LibreOffice
may be suspicious here (I take MS-Excel as the reference as it is usually the
pickiest as regards .xlsx files).
I'd argue that even if LO creates an empty workbook, LO should at least create
relevant fields in the xml.
Anyway I'll add a workaround for this.
