Follow-up Comment #12, bug #46795 (project octave): Lachlan, you are right. the problem is that the user should be able to cancel exiting the application and therefore a tab should not be removed immediately after saving. I am already working on a patch that uses a second flag "restore_breakpoints" which is true except in the case when called from "handle_file_modified_answer". I have also prepared patches for * resetting the read-only state of some tabs when cancelling exiting the application (I found that bug while looking into the restore-breakpoint issue) * not centering a line after a breakpoint was added (except the line is exactly at the top or the bottom of all visible lines.
