Follow-up Comment #1:
Indexed images and more generally images represented by non-double types used
to crash Octave when clicking (in Qt graphics_toolkit only) but this has been
fixed and the soon coming bugfix release 4.0.1 will not trigger the bug
anymore.
What does "whos img" return in your example?
