Follow-up Comment #3, bug #46861 (project octave):

I'm running Debian "Jessie" (8) and have 3.8 installed as well as having built
80e630b37ba1 just now. Neither "Command Window" tab is responding - it's just
blank. The "Editor" and "Documentation" seem to work just fine. Both versions
work in CLI (all I ran was "1+1").

I removed ~/.config/octave to see if there could be something in there that
caused this, but I still have the same issue.
