Follow-up Comment #8:

I also get a hanging process, until I send an Enter to the build console.

On my system it is the pdflatex command that is hanging, and plotimages.m is
waiting for that command to complete. If I let it sit it never returns. If I
hit Enter, it says


error: plotimages: Failed to run pdflatex on <extended.pdf>
error: unhandled execution exception -- eval failed


If I run the pdflatex command from the terminal, I get the same error Michael
has shown about foobar-inc.
