[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #47671] textscan re-reads part of the file on

From: Lachlan Andrew
Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #47671] textscan re-reads part of the file on the second and subsequent calls

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #47671 (project octave):

I forgot to add steps to reproduce the problem.

Type

f = tempname ();
fid = fopen (f, "w+");
fprintf (fid, "1,2\n3,4\n");
fseek (fid, 0, "bof");
A = textscan (fid, "%s %f", 2, "Delimiter", ",");
ftell (fid)
fclose (fid);
unlink (f);

The ftell reports 3, even though 8 characters have been processed.

This is separate from bug #41579 ("textscan: file offset after partial read
differs from Matlab"). Matlab returns 7 instead of 8 for some reason.
