Follow-up Comment #24, bug #47576 (project octave):

Also, for the uninstaller, it looks like all applications I see now appear to
no longer show their uninstaller in the start menu.

An uninstall option is available by right clicking on a executable file
shortcut, but just brings up the add/remove programs window.
