Follow-up Comment #2, bug #40211 (project octave):
I agree this would be nice; I've often wanted it. Jordi, are you still
working on it? If you have a draft, I'd be happy to take a pass.
On a related note, I like the fact that Octave displays scalars on the same
line as the variable name, unlike Matlab. However, for matrices and vectors,
why is there a blank line above and below the answer?
My preferred format would be for row vectors that fit in one line to be
displayed on the same line as the variable name, and for less space in cases
when multiple lines are needed.
