Follow-up Comment #1, bug #48315 (project octave):

Thanks for the bug report. I see the same output as you in Octave. So the
Octave result seems to be the conjugate of what Matlab returns.

It looks like the cov.m function in Octave has been defined as


conj (x' * y / (n-1))


since 1997.

Should the conj() just be removed?
