[Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #49118] GUI editor cannot run file in folder name with umlaut

Follow-up Comment #18, bug #49118 (project octave):

I have re-tested Octave-4.2.0-rc2 (from alpha.gnu.org, Qt4 if I understood
this right) under Win7:
* The original bug (running scripts in folders with umlaut) works FINE there.
* Pantxo's inputdlg bug from comment #3 works FAILs.
So there really IS something to gain with changeing mxe Octave to Qt5. But we
are now talking about two different bugs, to be precise.

I will start to "manually" bisect the Octave code between 4.0.3 and 4.2.0-rc2
(on my Ubuntu 14.04 machine with Qt4), and test for the two different
mentioned bugs under Linux. This might take some days...
