Follow-up Comment #3:

Please download and update to 4.2.0 now that the release has been made. I
doubt it will have fixed this, so I'm updating the release tag assuming no
change.

I think I heard that Qt 5 has better support for HiDPI than Qt 4. Can you
build mxe-octave yourself with the --enable-qt5 option? The official binaries
are built with Qt 4, but please build and test mxe-octave with Qt 5 so the
next major Octave release can be done with Qt 5 with some confidence that it
will work.
