Follow-up Comment #10, bug #50295 (project octave):

Yes, it's exactly the problem. For some reason, calling a .m from the gui
requires the user to type enter otherwise the function does not complete
correctly and the prompt is stuck. The example with the disp() function was
just to try to simplify the problem.
