Follow-up Comment #25, bug #45610 (project octave):
>From bug #50547 (marked as duplicate of this one), it can be concluded that
the selection is generally expanded by one line when using a shortcut with
modifier on selected text in files with CRLF line endings. When the selection
is commented via the menu entry, everything works as expected.
