Follow-up Comment #4, bug #50886 (project octave):
Thank you for the feedback.
The problem was fixed with a setenv inclusion
In octave I ran:
"setenv('F77', '/usr/local/bin/gfortran')"
As I already had fortran installed, it was able to install correctly.
