Follow-up Comment #4, bug #51103 (project octave): I tried make maintainer-clean ./bootstrap ./configure make but there is no change. <path>/run-octave graphics_toolkit ('fltk') plot ([1:50]) hangs the output window (though input is still accepted). The default graphics toolkit (gnuplot) doesn't lead to output window hang. In addition <path>/run-octave -f plot ([1:50]) freezes the output window (with default graphics toolkit gnuplot) and sometimes messes up the gnuplot plot as well.
