Follow-up Comment #2, bug #51406 (project octave):
As a quick test, try running octave from the command line with the '-f' option
which will avoid loading any initialization files. My guess is that your
personal initialization file (~/.octaverc) or the site-wide initialization
file is loading the stk package. Use 'which graphics_toolkit' once inside
Octave to verify that it isn't picking up the incorrect version of that
function. Also, version 4.0.0 is deprecated and no longer supported. Try
using version 4.2.1 which is the latest stable release.
