Running chebtest from chebfun software [http://www.chebfun.org] with Octave
(hg_id = fe1763af4021),  I get the error

error: function handle cannot be indexed with .


in the line: 


factoryPrefs.ivpSolver = @chebfun.ode113;


This is similar to bug#46659
