Follow-up Comment #16, bug #52996 (project octave): I was going to look into trying to keep track of object instances so that the oct file can be unlocked and unloaded when all players and recorders are cleaned up. But I can certainly push what I have so far as a first level improvement. It just means the audiodevinfo oct file will never be unloaded after any of the functions are called once.
