Follow-up Comment #41, bug #53186 (project octave): I think there could be a race condition. There is certainly something wrong. Testing in the GUI with N = 1e3; for i = 1:N bm(i) = test ('getframe'); endfor sum (bm) shows that there are always 5-8 failures on my system.
