URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?53406> Summary: Current folder does not work with non ascii characters Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: gwiora Submitted on: Wed 21 Mar 2018 05:23:06 PM CET Category: GUI Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Regression Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: gwiora Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.2.2 Operating System: Microsoft Windows _______________________________________________________ Details: The current folder in octave gui can not be set to a path that contains non ascii characters like "äöüß" while the file browser does handle this correctly. After entering or choosing the path it is displayed in the drop down text box but it is not accepted. This becomes clear when you set the option to synchronize file browser and current folder. I did not mention this behaviour in 4.2.1 but can not surely confirm that it did not exist. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?53406> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
