Follow-up Comment #101, bug #53006 (project octave): @Rik (comment #89, issue #1): I attached a patch which adds fallback monospace fonts in octave.css. Currently, the problem is that if Fantasque Mono is not installed on the computer, Qt falls back to a non monospace font. We must thus provide a proper fallback fonts. A single generic "monospace" does not seam to do the job for me so I also added "Courier New" (present on most Win machines according to https://www.cssfontstack.com/) and "Cousine" which is the default for the terminal on my linux computer (and also the best match for "Courier New" according to fontconfig).
