Follow-up Comment #1, bug #53627 (project octave):
What is the minimum unit of change here?
It seems like we could start with modifying the mkoctfile command to remave
'-loctinterp -loctave'. Is that expected to be safe on all platforms, or just
Linux?
The next step would be to remove LIBADD from the .oct files, and then test on
Linux, macOS, and Windows.
Final step would be to eliminate DLD_LIBOCTINTERP_LIBADD as well.
Does that sound right?
