Follow-up Comment #33, bug #54235 (project octave):

I don't know if any of us can help you debug this until you have a working
compiler. I know that 4.9.2 worked better, but there was a definite linker
conflict with multiple copies of the same shared libraries when you had GCC
4.9.2 but gfortran 5.5.0, so that was an unworkable configuration from the
start.

Now with GCC 5.5.0, your compiler doesn't seem to be able to compile even a
trivial C++11 program. If you want to fix that, you probably need some help
from the Solaris porting/packaging experts as to why this doesn't work out of
the box.

If it's possible to downgrade gfortran and GCC to 4.9.2, you could try that
configuration instead.
