Status: None => Need Info

Follow-up Comment #1:
I tried your test code, but I get an error
java --version
Unrecognized option: --version
Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.
Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.
Are you sure that is what you used?
If I use a single '-' I get the following
java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_171"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_171-8u171-b11-0ubuntu0.16.04.1-b11)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.171-b11, mixed mode)
Are you running a pre-release version of OpenJDK 11? The tag
openjdk 11-internal 2018-09-25
doesn't seem like a valid version number, espectially because the date is in
the future by at least 2 months.
