Subject: [Octave-bug-tracker] [bug #54396] Removing Opengl32.dll speeds up plot navigation, but it prevents saving plots using saveas or print

Follow-up Comment #19, bug #54396 (project octave):

@jwe: Removing osmesa was thought to be temporary. But I'm realizing now that
it is no longer needed.
However, with the current makefile it might be possible that scons is called
without target (building for Windows with the default
--enable-system-opengl).
Is mesa not built at all for that configuration? Or do we need to add some
logic to prevent that?

@OP: If we are lucky, the new opengl32.dll will be faster than the current
one. But it won't use a dedicated GPU even if available.
It would be nice if we could enable and disable software rendering more easily
(and maybe switch the defaults). But I'm pretty sure there already is an open
bug report for that.
