Follow-up Comment #19, bug #54396 (project octave): @jwe: Removing osmesa was thought to be temporary. But I'm realizing now that it is no longer needed. However, with the current makefile it might be possible that scons is called without target (building for Windows with the default --enable-system-opengl). Is mesa not built at all for that configuration? Or do we need to add some logic to prevent that? @OP: If we are lucky, the new opengl32.dll will be faster than the current one. But it won't use a dedicated GPU even if available. It would be nice if we could enable and disable software rendering more easily (and maybe switch the defaults).
