Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: None Submitted on: Tue 31 Jul 2018 08:57:22 PM UTC Category: GUI Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: None Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Laurence Shaw Originator Email: address@hidden Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: 4.2.2 Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: I have seen other bug reports in the past that where resolved by changing the font and then both the editor and command windows reflect the change via the method edit->terminal->font. Command window behaves as expected when changing fonts. I upgraded Octave from 4.0.0 to 4.2.2 Control Package 3.0.0 to 3.1.0 Running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Don't know how the font to use information for the editor window is stored. Guess it's stored in some text file and has a default value that is misbehaving when Octave can't read from that text file location. Conceivable could be a file permission problem on some text file that occurred when I upgraded to 4.2.2. _______________________________________________________ File Attachments: ------------------------------------------------------- Date: Tue 31 Jul 2018 08:57:22 PM UTC Name: truncation.png Size: 221KiB By: None the png is a screen capture of the situation. <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/download.php?file_id=44667> _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?54412> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
