Follow-up Comment #29, bug #52193 (project octave): @Dmitri: >> in extended.pdf the fonts are now Computer-Modern rather than FreeSans. It has always been the case. This is a special case where the pdf figure is generated by Latex, not Octave. You can look at the html version of the manual (section 15.2.9) or directly at extended.png and you should see that it is correctly generated with freesans font by Octave.
