@Rik: your idea does not work for the following example


x=[1,sqrt(2)/2+sqrt(2)/2*i,1i,-sqrt(2)/2+sqrt(2)/2*i,-1,-sqrt(2)/2-sqrt(2)/2*i,-1i,sqrt(2)/2-sqrt(2)/2*i]


i.e., elements of the vector with the same absolute value.
